life, lately

taryn time means slowing down but keeping busy. mostly i teach, work on crafty bitch projects (see above) and read. and writing so so much writing!

rousing me in a hot, drippy sweat. a forced revelation of just how real this connection is.

hormonal. quite literally alone in NJ. missing all the people far from me. broke my blackberry, and cried after a gelato in front of my sweet pumpkin.

one difference between america and france remains a bit of a paradox. america, the paragon of egalitarian values, somehow suffers from a gastronomic class system unknown in france. the right and opportunity to enjoy the earth's seasonal best [food] seems to be monopolized by an elite. outside their ranks, the great majority of americans are conditioned to demand and accept bland, processed, chemically treated, generally unnatural foods, which through packaging and marketing have been made to seem wholesome.
